Solar Alvura, the dream and vision of Dr. Eva Orsmond, is a new boutique hotel nestled in the beautiful surrounds of it’s own orange and pomegranate groves with mature almond and olive gardens in the beautiful Portugese Algarve with clear seas and rolling mountains on all sides. Solar Alvura is a sanctuary of utter relaxation, tranquility, luxury and respect providing guests with the opportunity to re energise, rejuvenate and regain balance in life.

Relax (min 3 nights)

Experience a relaxing stay to enjoy our unique hotel, surrounded by an atmosphere of calm and tranquillity. Your food will be from local, fresh and seasonal produce aimed at maintaining a balanced healthy diet and weight

Rejuvenate (min 5 nights)

Experience a truly unique holiday that combines the alchemy of health, fun and relaxation in this luxurious setting. Following your assessment, your diet plan will be tailor made based on our maintenance diet.

Tone and Shape (min 5 nights)

Guided by our team from different areas of health and wellness, we have developed an exercise program with an activity routine to help shape and tone your body. Our menu of wholefoods and seasonal dishes are designed to provide you with the right balance of nutrition and provide you with the motivation and restructuring process to start a new lifestyle.

Fast Weight Loss (min 7 nights)

A typical Day at Solar Alvura, the Hotel of Health

We at Solar Alvura invite you to greet the day to the sound of our morning bell or the local cockerel crow. Here is a feel of how your day will go but may differ for other programs.

Breakfast

Your day will start with a cup of herbal tea with a fresh omelette filled with roasted mushrooms at the Orange Grove restaurant. A quick check of your weight, blood sugar, blood pressure and pulse.
Then join either the morning yoga session, hit class or an organised mountain walk.

Mid Morning

Refreshments at the Tea Bar or Pool Bar and a biscuit or fruit snack
Relax in our Spa, gazing out at the orange grove while getting a pampering pedicure.

Lunch

Flavour your lunch of freshly made soups and salads with cuts of cold meats or sardines on the Orange Grove restaurant terrace. 
Take a power snooze in your room or under the shade around the pool.
If desperate, pop to your room to check your phone for essential messages.

Mid Afternoon

Refreshments at the Tea Bar or Pool Bar and a biscuit or fruit snack.
Participate in a cooking class or have a game of paddle or a guided excursion.

Early Evening

Enjoy a mocktail in the Lobby at the Tea Bar, while listening to some local music, or get lost in a book from our library with a cup of camomile tea.

Evening Dinner

Your dinner of fish straight from the sea or portuguese Piri Piri Chicken will be served in the Orange Grove Restaurant, or maybe we will be having a barbeque at the pool!

After Dinner

After dinner join the roof top meditation before retiring to your room for a good long and restful sleep. You may choose a suitable pillow from our pillow bar for your ultimate comfort.
